Year of Change---an update!

Ok so to update a bit...how am I doing with the things I want to change?  Well I have grown my hair back out.  Sorta.  The more it grew out some the worse it looked so I decided to go back to my other haircut but changed up a bit.  It's more tapered in the back and right now I am STILL (yes 6 months later) growing out the front and sides.  It's almost there though.  Clothing?  I am doing fairly well not wearing cardigans with everything :-)  I bought another pair of skinny jeans, and I am almost to a point where I am comfy tucking my pants into my boots.  I am buying more of the slim style pants because if I wear it with the right top (not a tight fitting one) they actually look very nice.  Pinterest has really helped with this :-)

Using my dslr???  It comes and goes.  I practice quite a bit, taking random pictures and this Christmas I feel like I did that a lot.  However, there are just some moments though that I can't bear to have bad pics of because I'm not proficient yet.  I have found more things to sew.  Not necessarily clothing, but little things, here and there.  I can't wait to make the girls some Easter shirts!  I've got to get my list going of the things I'm wanting to sew!

Forgiveness.  Ahhhh the hardest one of all.  To be forgiven you must forgive.  So I have made efforts internally to do that.  However, what I can't bring myself to do is put myself in those situations again.  The way I see it, I do my part for the relationship and am cordial.  By cordial I mean, being polite and speaking when I am spoken too.  Adam is so much better at it than I am.  We had already decided some things to not include those in because of the drama they ensue but at the last minute I had to bend and agree with him.  It wasn't easy, but God and Adam knew how much those actions pushed me.  I don't know what will happen this coming year, probably nothing but only time will tell.

Spiritually?  Well I have begun my Heart Like David's, and we are starting prayer time at bed time for the girls.  We'll see how that goes.

Oh the weight loss...well I started the 21 day cleanse and lost 7 pounds.  Woop woop, not quite halfway to my goal!  Then I tried to get back on it in between Thanksgiving and Christmas and it just never happened.  I have been too scared to look, but the last I checked I had only gained about a pound or two left.  I'm guessing that now that the b-days are over (SHEW) I can get back to that.  I am also trying to find a time to do walking.  I'm thinking that 5 am mornings are in my future.

Off the top of my head those are things that I could remember.  I will update again in a month or so and see how much more progress I've made :-)

  1. You should get the wii fit games. They have plenty of walking games or games that you can get steps in. I still recommend a pedometer. Before my ankle injury that really helped me stay on goal with walking. You would be surprised how many steps you would get at school and chasing the girls. 2500 steps is a mile and at the preschool (4 hour days) I would average 5000-5500 steps a day and they say an "active" life style is 10000-12000. Sorry for the long post. Proud of the 7 lbs I know how hard that is! I normally average 2-2.5 pounds per week.
