Cades Cove

So on Day 2 of our trip to the mountains, we decided that we wanted to take the girls into Cades Cove.  It was just the four of us, and we got up early, got dressed and packed lunch stuff for us to eat in the park.  About 10 minutes down the road Kat fell asleep....Reagan was busy watching her movies in the car and Adam and just chit-chatted and enjoyed the view.  Cades Cove is a definite must if you are in the National Park area...however, just a 'warning'...it's a loop.  Meaning that once you get started there are only two 'shortcuts' to take to make it quicker.  If you go in the next week or so, what is generally a 3-4 hour excursion (if that) can take F.O.R.E.V.E.R.

Adam was listening to the Titans game so I would get out at the different stops and Reagan would generally get out with me.  Kat=still asleep.  Reagan would put on the Reagan show and we would just go about our business.  When we got to the visitor center and old mill area we all got out and walked around, visited the gift shop, and had our little picnic lunch.

The weather was perfect!!!  It was cool enough that we wore long sleeves and we got pretty warm, but it was far from hot.  Perfect fall weather.  After we did that we went on back to the cabin and after dinner that night I made rice krispie treats that are supposed to look like pumpkins.  Of course they didn't, but I'll more pics of that later when I do my comparison to the pinterest page :-)  Enjoy these pics from Cades Cove!

So cute, but I was prepared to run for it if Mama Bear came upon us!
