The next few days I went to the mall and wanted to get some jeans for my cowboy boots. Skinny jeans it is. Crazy right? So I decided that I wanted to try things different this year. Branch out. Do things that I swore I would never do (hello skinny jeans!). So as I commented to someone about it they coined the phrase 'year of change'.
What do I want to change? Well here is a quick list of things I want to change/have changed:
- Physically
- Cut my hair
- Branch out more with my clothing
- Lose about 20 pounds
- Add walking to my routine every/every other day
- Spirtually
- Do a better job of doing quiet time for the girls
- Get involed in a small group
- Complete Beth Moore's 'Heart Like David' Bible Study
- Emotionally
- Forgive. God calls us to love our neighbor as ourselves. My question is this, I also believe in 'hurt me once shame on you, hurt me twice shame on me'. If I forgive but distance myself, am I loving my neighbor? I may be able to move on but that doesn't mean I forget. I am literally at a crossroads on this one
- Creatively
- I miss sewing, so I would like to sew more--especially things for the girls.
- Utilize more of what my DSLR camera can do
Walking is my big step for now.
Notice I did not say 'drink less diet coke' ;-)
you should get a pedometer. They have them at target/walmart. That has helped me tons! You will be surprised at how many steps you get in at school!
ReplyDeleteIf you said "give up diet coke", I would seriously think something was wrong!
ReplyDeleteI need to finish Heart Like David as well. I started it and went to all of the video sessions but failed to do the homework the last few weeks.
