Isle of Palms

A wonderful beach!  It was crowded Saturday and Sunday but come Monday morning it was almost empty!  The mornings were usually hectic as we took the girls out and they played...and played...and played!  I was really nervous about that part.  I was afraid that one would love it and the other would hate the sand.  WRONG.  They LOVED it!  We bought a canopy/tent for Kathryn so when it was time for her to play out of the sun or it was naptime, we put her in there and she would drift off to sleep.  Best $30 I ever spent!  I don't have many pictures yet of them playing on the beach.  We decided before we went down there that we would go old school and get a water proof disposable camera to take down to the beach.  That was for all the fun, playful pictures.  When we went down one night for family pictures we of course used our nice Nikon :-) So for the moment, the only beach pictures I do have are ones that I got from my parents.

Playing!

Another note, I'm not sure I would do the disposable camera again.  I really liked not having our way expensive DSLR out on the beach, but using a regular film camera again was not great.  I think it may have something to do with the fact that I have absolutely no idea how the pics turned out.  Not until I get them developed at least.  So not sure what I would do on that part again.  I don't have a point and shoot, and my phone camera is a joke so maybe by the next time we go I'll have an answer for you!
